Assumption Catholic Church is a small quaint church in historic Truckee, CA. The church sometimes has standing room only during the peak tourist seasons, so arrive early! The parish continues to grow with Truckee. It has plans to build a larger church in the near future and they have a second collection usually for that cause. more

Priest RUDE 10/20/2005

Priest was rude! Stared at us when we greeted him after mass, didn't even acknowldege our greeting. It was very uncomfortable. He was very warm to the person behind us, so, we felt he slighted us intentionally. We had smiled, made eyecontact, said hello and started to ask something when he started talking to the person behind us. The homily was boring too. Worse after our experience with him. Pros: beautiful church Cons: too crowded, rude priest more
