Assatourian Karnieh Dds

It sems like every visit there is a new batch of dentists. This last time I was seen by a young dentist for fillings. After 3 repeat visits for the same pain she couldn't figure out why I would still be in pain. I decided to go to a different practice, and within 5 minutes I was told that there was still decay on the tooth she filled and it was very obvious I needed a root canal. I was sent to another specialist for the root canal and he also could not believe the shoddy work from Dr. Assatourian's office. I no longer have confidence in this office as they must hire dentists straight out of school with no supervision. more

I went to see Dr. Assatourian but never saw her. I worked with another person to fix a lot of problems I had with my teeth. After about 2 months of weekly visits my teeth were finish. My teeth feel funny and have weird spots where they were filled in, I was told that's normal and it would wear away. Almost a year later it still feels funny. I'm on Medicaid and they were the only office in the area that would take my insurance at that time. The staff made me feel bad because I could not afford to buy the special things they wanted me to buy and that I could not come more often and didn't seem to understand that a disabled single mother didn't have money coming out of nowhere like they do. I also canceled an appointment with them because of an emergency (I canceled the day before but not the whole 24 hours) and they are billing me for $400. (if 15 minutes of my time was worth that, I probably wouldn't have had to see them!) I have having problems fighting this. Yet, they canceled on me 2 hours before my appointment once, after I had already payed the babysitter for the day, are they reimbursing me for that? No. Not a great experience. I will say though, the office is very pretty, and up-scale. more

I recently changed dentists due to the fact that my family and I disliked this practice very much. Dr Assatourian is great but her staff is too rough and dont know what theyre doing. I was once saw by a kid straight out of dental school. He told me three different things that were wrong with my teeth which none seemed to be true and as i was walking out the door he then told me i needed a root canal. after seeing a new dentist with years of experience i then learned that the one from dr assatourian had no idea what he was doing. more

I saw Dr. Assatourian my first visit or two to her office, and I was very happy with her work and enjoyed my brief talks with her. However, the last couple of times I went to her office, I was seen by other members of her practice who I had not met before. Maybe she expanded and now those other members would be familiar faces if I had gone back, but just from walking down the hall to the chair to which they sent me, I did not see any familiar faces, including Dr. Assatourian's. The work by her associates was adequate, but her associates, while nice, didn't inspire the same confidence. If I'm going to get the work done by someone I don't know, I don't really have any reason to go back to her office. NOTE: I have no idea what an endodontist is, but to submit this review I had to select a specialty. All I've had done at her office were checkups and fillings. more
