Assaggi Bistro

I hesitate to write an awsome review for fear of turning on so many others that I'll never get a table when I want one....but I must say that after seven times dining at Assaggi that the service and food are outstanding. This is a small and intimate place with tasteful, but not overdone, decor. The waitstaff are seasoned veterans that have complete command from the time that you sit down to the time that your party leaves. Outstanding cocktails, a very comprehensive wine list and lemon cello that is to die for will get your motor running. A nice selection of appetizers are always a great way to start...the scallops and calamari are fantastic! Main courses from steaks to chops to seafood are all incredible...the pork chop...yes, the pork chop will take your breath away...it is so scrumptious! Deserts are plentiful and also delicious! Be prepared to spend $40 to $70 bucks per person for the full experience (not including tip or alcohol) but I guarantee that the staff at Assaggi will not let you leave disappointed. The food at this restaurant is fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. It's not cheap, but it's worth the price for a nice night out. Although the header here says it's French, I would say it's more Mediterranean. It's a warm and inviting place with good waitstaff, and the wine list is great. In the summer, there is a nice outdoor eating area, and a lot of live music and other fun events. Pros: Great food, good wine, nice atmosphere more
