Great care and boarding 1/24/2012

I have just started to bring my cat here last summer. I have been very happy with the care and attention that she gets here. I have had to use their boarding services for a week and I was very happy with the conditions and how my cat handled it.\r -Jerry- more

The best 10/11/2010

The good vets of Aspetuck have been treating my animals for almost twenty years and I have nothing but good things to say about the quality of care my three dogs have received. I now have friends who've come up from NYC for special surgeries because the care is that good - and much more reasonable than other clinics in the northeast. All the vets are Cornell grads and treat owners and animals with thoughtful attention. I feel lucky to have found them. more

Not recommended by my family 8/24/2010

Although this happened years ago our family is still upset. We boarded our cat over Christmas for two weeks. When we came home our formerly healthy cat (all of 3 years old) was on death's door after losing half her body weigh. Hello - you're a vet, you might have noticed. After suffering for a few more weeks with Kidney failure we had to put her down. It was completely traumatic for my family - this was my young daughter's cat. To add insult to injury we had to pay the boarding fee's when we picked up a clearly sick cat. The only generous thing they did was euthanize the cat for free. more

Fabulous Clinic 11/17/2008

About a month ago my Rat Terrier Rocky was kicked by a horse and his leg was snapped in two. Frantically I called our regular vet ...only to be told that the dog would need an orthopedic surgeon..and they couldn't help me. Instead they referred me to the Aspetuck Animal Hospital. My great fear was that my beautiful little guy would lose his leg, as it was dangling by the skin. I cannot describe how horrible it feels to have an animal you love hurt so badly. Heartbreaking. The kind and professional demeanor of the doctors and staff was so reassuring that day. The surgeon was scheduled to be there the following day..and I left the dog feeling that he was in good hands. The quality of care my dog received was of the highest caliber. His surgery went very well. A small metal plate was attached to the bone to secure it. The incision was minute and immaculate. The dog came home with clear and concise post surgical instructions.Today I watched my little dog play in the yard. His more

I always said I WOULD NEVER EVER kennel my dog. One weeken this passed month, I had NO choice. I called Aspetuck. Having worked in a kennel myself during my college years, we NEVER let anyone in back. IT was a very high end kennel and we still didn't let anyone see where their animal was going. Denise is the kennel manager and she gave me the full tour. Great place, great prices. I was very happy! more
