Upon moving in last August the place was in a bad shape. I couldn't lock my front door as it had looked to had been kicked in by previous tenants. The AC didn't work. Maintenance said nothing was wrong with it on 2 separate occasions, but on the 3rd inspection, they finally saw the problem and fixed it with DUCKTAPE which I have to replace often. \r

A week later, the water heater busted and flooded my apartment, ruining some of my valuables and the hardwood floor (which renter's insurance & Ashford Place claimed they weren't liable for. Suppose that was my fault.) The maintenance's answer to the problem was just to stick a big fan in the room, which I fear has caused mold. Keep in mind this is in mid August, the AC still hadn't been fixed, and now I can't even shower... I had spent my last dime moving to Clarksville & getting into school. And I had to go the first day of school STINKING. It was embarrassing. \r

They did fix the water heater (twice), but the hot water only lasts about 5 minutes, so you better shower fast! No chance in a bath tho. I've talked to other residents of the building and they have the same issue. I'll be so happy to move out come August. First thing I'll do is take a loooong nice soak in the tub, something I haven't been able to do in almost a year now. \r

In short, if you like the idea of camping indoors, Ashford Place is the place for you. The only thing nice I can honestly say about Ashford Place is the staff has always been extremely nice and the apartments are in a good neighbourhood.
