Dr. Scott, Dr. Lackey, and staff are like family. I can't imagine taking my animals to anyone else. They have cared for my own animals, as well as the many foster dogs I have had over the years, and they have taken great care of all of them. They take the time to actually talk and explain everything they do, which helps ease the stress of having a sick pet.\r Can't say enough wonderful things!! more

I've been taking my menagerie to AVA for the entire 7+ years I have been in the area and have nothing but good things to say about everyone there, especially Dr. Scott. I feel he understands my situation, my pets and is perhaps the only other person in the world who loves my obnoxious Jack Russell/Dachshund cross. Seriously, this is a great place and they give very good care to pets and their people. more

I have been working for AVA West since October of 2009. I can tell you that my experience has been wonderful! The clinic is always kept very clean. The clients and their pets are great. I can also say that working for Dr. Scott has been so much fun. Our newest doctor to join our practice, Dr. Lackey, is a very fun person too. The two veterinarians together really seem to make a great team. It TRULY IS the doctors and ALL of the employees that make AVA West such a wonderful place to work and/or bring your pets. Everyone has their own special nitch and this makes the practice run like a well-oiled machine. Love it! more

Some veterinary offices CLAIM to care about the animals - but Asheville Veterinary Associates TRULY care! We have 2 dogs and 2 cats that we have been bringing to AVA over the past 3 years. \r \r When we first arrived in Asheville, we had tried two other vet offices and were NOT pleased. One place was so dirty we only went once and never returned. Another place handled our beloved pets much too roughly for our liking - or our pets'!\r \r After discovering Asheville Veterinary Associates, we knew our search for a loving, caring environment was over. Their offices are clean, organized and cheerful. The entire staff as well as the doctors are obviously in love with their jobs. Each and every person that has ever handled our pets have been gentle, caring and loving. Our pets are never traumatized after a visit.
