I am still astonished that people can be so nasty. Whether you have a good experience or a bad one, does not mean you need to jump on someone when they are down.\r \r I believe that everyone had a bad time just after the hurricane especially the Ewen's, they lost their home for God's sake. I am not sure who said, ""What goes around comes around....."" you should be ashamed of yourself. Are you trying to say that God planned to destroy their home? I think not.\r \r As for my pool, it is absolutely beautiful and the construction went great.\r \r As for any other advice, do not go with someone because they are the cheapest, you will get suckered each time. Just because something is cheap does not mean that it will not cost you in the long run. Ascension Pools was the most innovative, thoughtful and most professional of all the pool companies that I interviewed and we interviewed them all.\r \r As for the other companies in town, just do your homework on them as well. Glad to see we are not the only ones out there having problems with these people. Its been over 4 months now and our pool is still not finished. When you call them to find out when they will be out here working on it again, they tell you they will be out today and then never show up. We always have to call them, they never call us. Not the way to do business, especially in a community where everyone knows everyone and talks. My husband is so ticked off at these people right now. Got off to a good start but faded fast. Right now is not a good time to go with these guys. Like us, every person we talked to who is currently using Ascension Pools to build their pool is extrememly unhappy. Long delays, no communication with customers, can't keep their workers, they claim that rain is the problem but it hadn't been raining that much, say they will be there on Wednesday and never show up or even call to say why they didn't, poor management, etc. To show you how dumb they are, they post their signs in the yards of customer pools under construction. When you knock on the door to inquire, the story is always the same as ours. Really bad business management folks! My advice is stay away from this one and keep looking. These guys won't last long at this rate. Silly thing is, we had 4 friends who were seriously considering building a new pool with these guys and watching our experience closely - these idiots totally blew it!!! How dumb is that?!! Pros: Good materials and quality Cons: Really bad management and high turnover of skilled labor = long project delays more
