Having lived in Japan (and Osaka) for over ten years, it's been great for me and... my family to have had Asaka restaurant as someplace to go for excellent quality and truly authentic Japanese food at a great price. The owner has been consistent in his attention to detail and quality. Nothing comes close in South Florida. more

35 years of experience has been valuable in identifying the best in sushi. Asaka in Aventura represents the best in sushi for me. The variety and quality of the Sushi served are top shelf. Yummy place for Sushi!\r \r I also like and recommend the atmosphere which is traditional Japanese. Asaka is comfortable and intimate whether you are with a group or a patron of the Sushi Bar that night. \r \r One night I ran into the transportation crew working on the Movie "Rock of Ages", which was filmed in the Miami area. These guys liked their sushi and had hearty appetites. The movie just wrapped recently. I saw them at Asaka at least once a week during the last few months. In my mind, California ranks #1 for Sushi Restaurants. These guys were Californians.\r \r Try the Spider Roll or Spider Hand Roll, ikura, Toro, Maguro, Wahoo, etc. Asaka can also be counted on to serve quality Uni which is the only Uni. \r \r See you at the Sushi Bar. more

It's an okay place. The food is good and the service is amiable. A couple of suggestions though; It would be great for their menu to have some pictures and for the restaurant to have WI-FI. Because of these I give it a B-. more

This place is definitely over rated!!! It reminded me of a hole in the wall restaurant. If you like your drinks straight out of the can then this might be the place for you. Not to mention the small size of the actual rolls. So let me just end by saying if you want to try some real sushi then come to Louisville Ky and try Sake Blue! ASAKA JAPANESE YOU GET TWO THUMBS DOWN FROM ME! and your lucky I don't have another thumb because you would get that one two! more
