Enjoyable Kids Shows 9/6/2005

ArtsCenter is a very fun and unique place located in Carrborro. They offer classes including cooking and art, and also showcase performances as well. The atmosphere for the shows is very laid-back and relaxed making the shows very enjoyable. I have attended a children’s show there and it was just wonderful! more

Cool short plays 8/26/2005

I went to the ArtCenter's Ten By Ten program. It's an annual program, which highlights the work of 10 emerging playwrights, whose work is selected from applicants across the English-speaking world. All 10 plays that are chosen are 10 minutes, so you get to see a variety of brand new stuff. This year, they actually chose the work of one local, Kendall Rileigh, but the rest of the writers were from all over the place. more

Great classes for all ages! 8/4/2005

The Artscenter in Carrboro has a very wide variety of art classes- anything from culinary to visual to dramatic. I only have personal experiences with a couple of the kids' programs but from the descriptions of some of the adult programs- I am very tempted to try one of the classes out sometime. In addition to the ongoing classes, they also have one-time events. Check out their schedule. All of the kids' programs we have attended have been excellent. Highly recommended. more

Neato 7/2/2005

The only shows I've ever seen here have been the jump little children aucoustic shows, which are awesome. in addition to those shows the srt center hosts a lot of other artists in a wonderful sit down and relax type of atmosphere. I'm a big fan. They also have a ton of art on display throughout the center, andd offer art classes which is pretty neato. more
