I went to Arthurs Market to pick up a prime rib for New Years of 2012. I had a 25.00 gift certificate given to me by a family member. They refused to accept this. Told me it was purchased prior to August of 2011 when the new owners took over. Well, the gift certificate was written out to Arthurs Market and signed by a Lynn Boucher. The business may have been taken over but the name has stayed the same and how was I to know that. I tried to contact the owner Paul. He never called me back. Needless to say I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER PIECE OF MEAT FROM THAT STORE. I went to Calef's in Barrington. They were 1.50 cheaper per pound. From now on I will do my business there. I am wondering how many other people got ripped off by these new owners who happen to own some local hotels. I will be writing to the Better Business Bureau about their faulty and cheap business matters.
Thank you Calef's for making my New Years!
