Called for a chimney sweep and inspection. After having chimney basically condemned (no surprise there), was told it wasn't worth cleaning and then charged $310 to put on a chimn...

Absolute satisfaction. Seth was very professional and honest in his assessment of our fireplace situation as he diverted all future problems. Our gas log fireplace was inappropriately fitted to be wood burning. No one had told us this was a very hazardous choice. A very good cleaning was done and all is well!! more

Would Never Hire Anyone Else! 4/3/2011

Great guy and knows the business well. Started working with him eight years ago and never have gone back to my last sweep. All of my family uses Seth now and we think he has the best service in Kansas City! more

Great, Friendly Service. 12/27/2010

Seth came out on time and was very professional. Within three minutes he had saved our house from a future fire by informing us we shouldn't be burning real logs in our particular firebox. He recommended gas logs instead. Thank you Seth. He was quick, thorough, and clean. I will absolutely use him again and recommend him to anybody that cares about their fireplace. more

Found services on the internet. Feedback was good so we gave them a call. Seth came out and did a complete inspection. He was very detailed and informative with discussing everything during the inspection cleaning process. Provided contact information for others to address any possible future issues that might need future attention. Great price and great overall experience. Would recommend to anyone. more

Ouch, expensive! 10/29/2010

Called for a chimney sweep and inspection. After having chimney basically condemned (no surprise there), was told it wasn't worth cleaning and then charged $310 to put on a chimney cap and wire mesh over another flu that he didn't have the right sized cap for. 30 minutes of labor and $20 in parts that makes for a good profit, although I could conjure up a different adjective. more

Super Nice and Does an AMAZING Job! 7/30/2010

Price was great! More importantly - Seth was SO knowledgeable and SO nice! He gave helpful hints about the proper way to burn a fire in our type of fireplace and some helpful information on what to look for in the future when purchasing a home with a wood burning fireplace. I would highly recommend him to ANYONE!!! I have never in my life written a service review for anyone for any reason but went out of my way to review this company because of the OUTSTANDING service!!! more

HIRE HIM!!!! REPUTABLE AND KNOWLEDGABLE 3/20/2009

Had Seth do real estate inspection then later clean my chimney and install caps. He gave great no nonsense information but without freaking out on every little thing in my old house! Prices are good, but I would have paid more because he didn't try to talk me into a bunch of unnecessary work that other chimney company had tried to talk me into that was going to cost a fortune. I have had no problems and have found out that many of my so called ""problems"" are fairly normal for my older home and don't need to be ""fixed"" and made perfect! He advised on safety and how to make a fire properly. Knows his business! I would hire him again anytime! Pros: Dependable, great guidance and excellent work Cons: Nothing more

Excellent Service and Quality Work 11/2/2005

I had the Artful Duster put chimney caps on my fireplace when birds and animals started entering my chimney. Not only did the Artful Duster provide great service and perform quality work, their knowledge likely saved me additional costs in animal damages that would have occurred without their services.
