Art of the Table is a revelation--exquisitely prepared food served in an intimate, tasteful setting but without the anxiety of traditional fine dining (which fork? do I look all right? am I old enough to be eating here?). Their weekend supperclubs are like a great vacation--you forget everything except the experience you're having, and when it's over you have a bunch of stories to tell your food-loving friends. Don't let the need for reservations dissuade you, this place is anything but stuffy. Try calling the day of--since they are new, you can probably still get a seat. There are two tables that seat two, a four top, and a larger table for groups, so you won't need to share a table if you prefer not to. Happy Mondays feature happy hour wine and beer and $6 small plates, and Thursday nights currently feature a varied menu $6-$12. I've been twice and had a memorable experience worth sharing. You can join their mailing list and get menu updates at their home page.
Pros: charming decor, great service, good food
Cons: only seats 18 (which could be a pro depending on perspective)
