A more casual ""Herbfarm"" experience! 1/4/2009

I would highly recommend this experience for anyone with a passion for food, especially locally sourced, fresh ingredients. The prix-fixe weekend supper club menu is a steal and the optional wine pairings were pitch perfect. The roasted pepper and tomato soup with pernod cream was exquisite. The braised short ribs in red wine sauce just melted in my mouth. And for dessert, the autumn fruit crisp with cinnamon-cayenne ice cream left me wishing I had more room left so I could ask for more! The atmosphere is fun and the focus is definitely on food. A wonderful choice for a celebration with a group! Pros: locally sourced ingredients, wonderful wine pairings Cons: not for quick dining more

So Very Ordinary 9/24/2008

I hoped that the Art of the Table would be the answer to my dreams of a small, neighborhood restaurant where I could drop in for some light, delicious food and a good glass of wine. The wine is certainly available, but the food never rose above the ordinary. Pros: Excellent service, good wine Cons: The food is only average more

local food, multiple courses, great atmosphere 11/15/2007

Chef Dustin and front of the house artist Laurie have created a beautiful comfortable restaurant that focuses around fresh ingredients, creative menus, and travel photography. The supper club is built around 4 courses that change each week (along with the great pictures on the walls). Dustin presents the courses and describes the ideas behind them. Sit at a communal table to have some fun, or be romantic at a cozy table for two. I have been there for 4 supper clubs, and a few Monday night happy hours and never been disappointed. more

Unpretentious, excellent spot 6/19/2007

Art of the Table is a revelation--exquisitely prepared food served in an intimate, tasteful setting but without the anxiety of traditional fine dining (which fork? do I look all right? am I old enough to be eating here?). Their weekend supperclubs are like a great vacation--you forget everything except the experience you're having, and when it's over you have a bunch of stories to tell your food-loving friends. Don't let the need for reservations dissuade you, this place is anything but stuffy. Try calling the day of--since they are new, you can probably still get a seat. There are two tables that seat two, a four top, and a larger table for groups, so you won't need to share a table if you prefer not to. Happy Mondays feature happy hour wine and beer and $6 small plates, and Thursday nights currently feature a varied menu $6-$12. I've been twice and had a memorable experience worth sharing. You can join their mailing list and get menu updates at their home page. Pros: charming decor, great service, good food Cons: only seats 18 (which could be a pro depending on perspective) more
