They Saved My Life 5/24/2011

The first time I came into Quincy Family Practice I had just found out that I had a tumor in my brain. The intern that was my acting doctor at the time looked over my paper work and started making phone calls immediately upon realizing I had some major issues. I feel that if it wasn't for this interns quick action I may be in worse condition than I am in today. I was immediately sent to Springfield to see a specialist who I feel helped save my life as well. Without both SIU Quincy Family Practice and SIU clinic in Springfield both working together and giving me the proper information I needed to give my psychologist I would have never have realized that I severely needed to find a new psychologist that would listen and not give me meds to cover up symptoms of meds that he had already given me. more

Problems problems 11/29/2005

I had a procedure here several years ago, one that I won't go into, that ran into major problems. I chose not to sue and now regret it. They had an outpatient surgery where they had interns performing without permission and then the interns had no idea of what was going on. In fact, the doctor turned to them and said "did you watch the video on how to do this last night!" They didn't have anesthetic in the syringes when they began operating it was excruciating! Be careful! more
