Military surplus isn't always new but used in good condition, all this place has is overpriced new gear which you can get cheaper elsewhere. They are anything BUT military surplus...

Great selection 12/26/2008

My husband frequents this store for many of his outdoor needs. In addition to carrying army equipment (bags, knives, patches etc) they also carry a number of commercial brands for backpacks, shoes, hiking boots and more. The staff is always willing to answer questions and they are very friendly. I find their prices to be reasonable and their selection to be good for the specific items they carry. more

There when in need 12/6/2005

Although the Salvation Army stores might charge more than they should for items in their store, they are an organization who is always there in a time of disaster. During Hurricane Katrina The salvation army was one of the first to step up and offer help with free clothing, supplies, and furniture to those who lost alot and could not afford to buy new . They also came to area homes offering hot meals . The workers were very friendly and good to conversate with. I thank them for all they did for my family during this very hard time. more
