I'm basing my opinion out of about 4 visits to Armando's. The servers and waitstaff are attentive, however, the food is a different story. My last visit wasn't by choice and was probably the worst experience out of the 4. First of all, we ordered the queso flameado, which means ""flaming"" cheese, but it was anything but that. The cheese tasted old and not only was it not flaming, but it was cold and the oil was already separating from it! Next was my entree, which was the shrimp fajitas. They weren't horrible, I just wish they were more generous w/the shrimp and the tortillas weren't fake (I consider myself a tortilla connoisseur). My friend described her margarita as ""ice w/lime"" and she complained that the tomatoes were bad (she had to run to the bathroom to spt 'em up). This is coming from someone that can eat a tomato like an apple. After all of that - my waitress charged me for the cheese that she initially asked if I wanted w/my fajitas, and I had told her ""just on the side"", but meanwhile, my other friends had a cheese overkill on their fajitas and didn't get charged 1 cent. Hmmm. Sooo, dine at your own risk.
Pros: Across the street from fine bakery
Cons: The food
