Armando Cassano Hair Studio

I have been going to Armando Cassano Hair Studio in Dedham, MA since it opened. Prior to going to Armando I had been to Newbury Street and other Boston salons and other salons in the suburbs of Boston. I finally found a place where there is no hype just the real deal. Armando is so talented and consistently, time after time, makes me look and FEEL good. He really ""gets it"" when it comes to listening to what you want and doing his best to achieve just that. I look so forward to my visits to the Studio, not only to have my hair cut or colored but for a welcome respite from the day to day chaos. When you are at Armando's it's all about ""you""; your time and your place. Even if I've had a tough week at work or whatever I know I'll feel better and leave Armando's with a new look and a new ""outlook"". The staff is so friendly and I just love, Tina. I have had some terrible hair color experiences in the past and some at the so called ""fine"" Boston salons. Never the case at Armando's. I'll ask my husband how I should have my hair done the next time at the Studio and he will say doesn't matter, whatever Armando decides to do you always look great. Hearing that means so much. My husband always used to go to a barber, never a salon or hair studio!!! No way, he always would say to me. Guess who is a regular now at Armando's Hair Studio? He now knows what it is like to have that kind of attentive service, great cuts and also time spent with a good friend who wants you to be your best. Armando is constantly learning about the latest techniques and trends, yet knows how to resort to the classic styles when appropriate. Without a doubt, if you want someone who is a very skilled hair stylist, a true artist and a great person, then your search is over! I know mine is!!!! more

Paula is an awesome hair stylist. She helped fix my hair when I had a very bad color from another salon and she did an excellent job. She has a true understanding of hair...ie.the cut that will be the most flattering and the color that works for your skin tone. I have a tendency to float around and yet I keep coming back to Paula!! more

Paula always gives me the best cut and color ! She gives great advice on what products to use because my hair is very wavy and gets frizzy. Paula is very down to earth and it is nice to be able to find someone you can have a ""real"" conversation with while getting your hair done. Not only do I get out of Paula's chair looking like a million bucks but you walk out of the salon feeling like a member of the Armando Cassano family :) . more

I will only go to Paula to get my hair done. She does an awesome job, and she's also fun to visit with and talk to while she works! This is a great salon. All the employees are friendly, and Armando himself makes sure to welcome you to the shop. It's a very warm and comfortable place. I'll go nowhere else! more

Was referred here by a friend and had a very positive experience! Received haircut from Vanna, who was very nice and made me feel comfortable. The owner, Armando also introduced came over and introduced himself which i thought was very nice. The overall staff was very nice and salon has a very warm feel to it...you feel like you could stay in there all day. The location is great, people are awesome and you feel like your on Newbury street but much more affordable. High recommended!! more

Vanna keeps me looking great by blow drying and curling my straight thick hair. Monthly I have a color treatment which makes it feel and look great. Armando and his staff are very professional and welcoming. I have been going to Paula for years. I have followed her as she moved on to bigger and better things and Armandos is bigger and better!!! I have been going to Armando every 5 weeks for many years. He has been coloring my gray hair the entire time and it never looks harsh or unnatural. In the summer, he lets it get a little blonder and then tones it down in the fall. It looks better than when it was my own hair color. I have been a customer of Armando Cassano for many years. I have really curly and frizzy hair that has been difficult for me to deal with. Armando has always said I have great hair. He always did a great job blowing it out straight. He does great color too, I get so many compliments on the color. I recently had the Brazilian keratin treatment and am absolutely loving my hair now. Armando did such a great job with the process. He took his time and made sure I was happy. He also wanted to be sure I could manage my hair on my own, because that was important to me. I am so pleased with the outcome and am glad I did it. My mother has treated me to haircuts and highlights at Armando's since I was in middle school (I'm currently a college freshman) and I have always enjoyed my experiences there. I had my hair done there before my high school prom and was amazed by the gorgeous job done. Furthermore, I always leave feeling beautiful and confident as the stylists there always do their best to make sure that you are comfortable and enthusiastic about whatever they may be doing. Therefore the stylists are my absolute favorite part of going there, not only because they do an amazing job but because they are incredibly friendly. I've always had great conversations with all the employees, including the owner Armando Cassano whose enthusiasm and passion for his work always shines through. Finally a place that is full of energy and up to date with the style. For years I was a regular on Newbury Street and happened to come thru Dedham square and was draw by the appearance. Cheerful service. I like Armando's styling ability and that I can take care of it myself between times. The rest of the staff seems happy working in the studio and they are always cheerful with a good sense of humor. Armando in particular, and the rest of his staff are gracious and kind. Armando does my hair and he is so talented! I leave more than happy everytime. His coloring talents are impressive as well. He looks at eye color, skin town and more to determine what undertones, highlights, lowlights and base a woman could do. His cutting technique is also wonderful. He knows how to frame a face and make eyes POP! So talented, I can't recommend this salon enough. The spa next door is also incredible and they use all Aveda products. You have to try it! When my previous hairdresser of 17 years sold her shop and moved on, I thought no problem I would just find a new salon. For the past year I have been walking into different hair salons and walking out with one haircut worse then the other. My hair has been colored fire engine red, and at times I've had three different colors in my hair. My hair has been cut uneven, I've had pieces sticking straight out where I actually looked like the flying nun, and one time a hairdresser forgot to cut one side of my head. A friend referred me to Paula of Armando Cassano's Hair Salon in Dedham. Finally, I was able to have my hair cut back to the way it used to look by a professional hairdresser. The salon is easily accessible and there is ample parking. The atmosphere is friendly and the staff are professional. I am grateful that I was referred to this Salon and would highly recommend it to my friends. more
