beware ratings are false 7/8/2008

The ratings appear articially inflated. It is impossible that all indian restaurants have a rating of 4 or 4.5 on 5 and when you visit them, you have the most disastrous experience. The ratings are inflated by restaurant owner and their family who post extremely positive reviews. The result is that all Indian restaurants in atlanta end up having a rating of 4 or 5. \r Pl use discretion and word of mouth to visit any Indian restaurant because the ratings are false.\r \r I hope you have a wonderful experience experimenting with indian food. more

I Would Skip This One!! 6/11/2007

The restaurant is lovely but the food is horrible. I've been there several times and each time there was an issue -- too salty, too dry, undercooked, overcooked, etc. The hostess is a space cadet- really. She seems pleasant but the elevator doesn't seem to reach the top. Management is clueless. Where are the owners? They don't seem to care very much. The wait staff was okay. They seemed a bit lazy but then again, I had so many food issues --maybe I wore them out! I sat at the upstairs bar on a couple of my visits (really nice lounge area) and ate and while the bartenders were great --excellent drinks by the way-- the ""supposedly"" manager (I was curious so I inquired about whom he is) was constantly behind the bar pouring drinks for himself and sitting and drinking in front of the customers -every time I visited! I mean is it me or is something wrong with that picture? Aside from the decor, there's truly nothing to rave about. At least they have valet parking I guess. I really would pass on this one. Pros: Great Aestetically Cons: Everything else! more

Customer Unfriendly 5/15/2007

The food is alright, though a bit expensive. What I didn't like was their insistence on valet parking. They acted liked they owned the whole parking lot even though this is a shopping strip and said we were not allowed to park ourselves and if we wanted that, we needed to go across the road. I thought that was rude, snobbish and customer unfriendly behavior. Just because of that I am not going back there again. \r \r Also our waiter never checked with us once if we needed anything during the course of the meal, even though the restaurant wasn't crowded. Pros: The seating and the decor are nice. Cons: Snobbish and unfriendly staff. more

THE TALK OF THE TOWN!!!!!WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!!! 1/22/2007

It cant get any better than this... a restaurant, lounge/bar and a banquet all in one!.. It has mouthwatering food that no other paki/indian restaurant can beat! and the ambience is unbelievable. Many people complain about Armaan being expensive but there are other things you need to take into consideration while diing at armaan. The food is outstanding, the service is even better and the way it looks make you coming back for more. The staff is extremely frielndly always willing to take that extra step to make you feel right at home!!. i definitely reccomend this place!! Once you go to Armaan, you will never want to go anywhere else. A definite hot spot for youngsters too!! more

Way tooo expensive! 12/30/2006

It's a upscale place no doubt, but c'mon $75 for 3 people dining!!!!! Also the food quality is not consistent. Pros: Nice looking place Cons: Expensive! more

Definitely worth it! 12/22/2006

I dont know what the other user is talking about the food being ok. Armaan has the best tasting desi(indian-paki) food in atlanta. And yes it is definitey worth the money. It is not expensive at all. The ambience is just amazing. I have never seen a desi restaurant made so beautifully. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and are willing to take an extra step to make you feel comfortable. The lounge upstairs is amazing. and the bartenders are also very friendly. The belly dancing on thursday nights makes it all worthwhile!!! i definitely reccomend this restuarant to everyone!! If you go there once you will want to keep going again and again!!! CHECK IT OUT!! ITS DEFINITELY WORTH IT!! more

its OK. Not too Good 12/3/2006

The restuarnt atmosphere is good. But not worth for the money. If I am going to take Americans to an Indian restaurant, I will take them to this place. The grand buffet at weekend is $13.00 which is not worth. Food is O.K, but nothing to praise. The staff are friendly and good atmosphere. Bottom line, Good place for ABCD's. Not good for DESI's. more

The best Indian resturant in Atlanta!! 9/22/2006

Armaan has definitely become the place to beat for Indian restaurants in Atlanta - and by a mile too! The restuarant combines a great atmosphere (real classy look and feel) with great food...and great variety too. And oh yeah, the bar upstairs is a must see - you will be sure to drop in again just to spend time at the bar!! more

Good Food, Good Service, Pretty Pricey 8/13/2006

The only thing I don't like about this restaurant is the price. At 11$ for a buffet lunch on weekday afternoons its pretty high for an indian restaurant. However it is well worth it. The restaurant is spiffy and very very clean. The food is yummy and the decor is very tasteful. The salt lassi was a little too salty but they bring hot buttered naan's to your table and the staff is very attentive. Will go again. Pros: very nice decor plenty of parking, good food Cons: slightly pricey more

Good food, good drinks, good times 8/13/2006

Definitely a midtown feel without worrying about city traffic! 1st indian restaurant in Atlanta to sucessfully merge the contemporary feel with amazing indian food. Its hard to get both in one place but they pulled it off. I liked that there were dishes that were not too spicy (butter chicken was good) all the way to smokin hot (chicken 65). more

cool lookin place! 8/9/2006

The food and the ambience is imppecable at Armaan. BUt a site to see is the Bar/Lounge upstairs. The bartenders are friendly, and the drinks are even friendlier. I highly reccomend the Cholocate Martini. more

Best looking and best tasting indian/paki food in Atlanta!! 8/8/2006

Armaan is the first Indian/Paki restaurant i have seen in Atlanta with such taste and class. The food is outstanding. The presentation of the food is very nice and it also tastes great! The restaurant looks amazing and has a very comfortable atmosphere to it!. Someone who loves Indian/Paki food or is a first timer should definitely go to Armaan. I strongly recommend the chicken 65, you will not be sorry. Pros: Ambience, food! more

Amazingly mouthwatering Indo-Pak fusion food! 8/2/2006

I simply cannot decide what I like most about The Armaan Restaurant. The ambiance of this place is just impeccable and the food is awesome! I must say, their food taste beats all the Indian-Pak restaurants in Atlanta! Especially their Bihari Kababs, those are to die for! The dining and the upscale bar has a great variety to offer! more
