I just love this center. I've had a lot of interaction with this school over the years. I used to be a teacher 13yrs ago and now my 3yr son goes there. As a teacher, I was treated fairly with good benefits and competitive pay (compared to other centers). All the teachers had a good working relationship with the director. We always had all the tools we needed to make our job effective. The Ark is a non-profit school so all the money goes back into making the school even better.
The same goes for today. The teachers bring a wealth of knowledge and share a true love of working with children. They also plan weekly themes and offer a balance of social, emotional, creative, cognitive, and physical growth experiences. They always have age appropriate activities, weather it's art, music, science etc. and even special events like field trips to the farm, science center or kids theaters. They even offer Happy Feet, a mobile soccer clinic for children 2 - 6. My son loves this activity!!!
I have read all the reviews posted on this site and most are true. However, I would like to address a couple. The director may seem strict, but that is because she cares so much for the center and the children in it. There are rules and regulations for a reason and they are in place to protect all who are involved. And she's not rich! Again, non-profit school that has a board of directors whom determine how all monies should be spent. And Timsy... What are you talking about????
