The owner of Old City's Ariana Restaurant (and a founder of neighboring Afghani landmark, Kabul) has taken his BYOB concept across the Delaware River to adventurous South Jersey diners. The casual 40-seater serves cool yogurt drinks, saffron rice supporting plump veggies and lamb, and Indian-like naan bread to suburban families, retirees and youngish couples. The restaurant is family-owned so diners shouldn't be surprised to see owner Kadir Sultani or his sister or daughter making the rounds and taking orders. Recorded Afghani music plays to patrons who can simultaneously admire the displayed traditional household accoutrements that provide decoration.
