went with the guys for the restaurant week thing got the big apple loved it servers were cute food was good beer was good and college girls across the room were nice too, pretty busy will go back also liked the hummus stuff more

I came here on a whim several weeks ago. I have been back at least once a week since!! Insanely large portions. The price is incredible - makes 'forgetting to pack a lunch' desirable. Where can you get service, great food and a place that seems to remember you ... in Binghamton... only at Argo! The servers, not many that I have encountered, but all excellent. One, don't know her name but has an accent, seems to remember what I like to drink and has it in minutes recommends items now that she knows what I like and has never set me on a bad path. The chef/owner comes around to check on the customers himself, I don't think I can remember when this has happened to me before. Usually owners go to one maybe two tables of their 'upper' clients or their friends. My new place .... Argo!!!!! After reading some of these reviews... they have either made some drastic changes or these other people were not at this same restaurant!!!!!!! keep it up Argo! more

We eat workday lunch at the Argo at least a 3-4 times a week and just keep coming back. \r \r Portions are generous, insanely inexpensive -- specials are usually $5-6 for a large entree -- and everything is delicious. We cannot resist having a cup of soup as well: rich and homemade, the best we've ever had in a restaurant. \r \r We would also recommend the Argo Greek Salad -- huge, piled high with fresh salad vegetables, giant chunks of feta, lots of olives, and finally, slices of excellent marinated grilled chicken. \r \r The family that runs the Argo is fun and friendly, always part of the attraction. Just thought it was time to give them a big public thumbs up.\r \r Oh, even the coffee is really good! more

went there the other day with friends for lunch and had mom beef stew which was tremendouse* and so was the blueberry pie, you got to try it out them kids are working hard. more

Stopped in since no one else was open down town. Thought We'd grab a sandwich or something light. The menu offers REAL Greek food at a phenomenal price!! We ordered moussaka and gyro wrap. My hats off to all the owners and employees, you won us over. Doubt that we'll even look for another place to stop. Dreamy desserts made fresh in store not bought and brought in. more

Stopped here with my boyfriend in the midst of a road trip when other places were closed. I wish we had kept driving. The outdated decor complete with burned out light bulbs on the chandeliers should have been warning that something was wrong, but in need of a meal, we stayed. Perhaps when rolls were served with packets of melted, rancid appearing butter, that should have been the end of our visit. But we stayed for the rest of the meal, which consisted of very lackluster food that proceeded to make us sick (read in need of bathroom stops) within half an hour of getting on the road. Avoid!! more

Me and my friend Jim head there regularly, the staff is pleasant, the prices are okay, the portions are fair, the potatoes were real but old..... The food was over all good, service overall great, overall experience 4/5 Pros: Good Service, pleasent staff. Cons: parking with meters only, potatoes where stale. more

went there for dinner on a friday.. we should have known it was going to be gross considering there was no other people in there.. Food was horrible .. the fish was spoiled and the ""lamb"" looked like it came from a can.. it was one for the worst places we have ever been too.. more

i moved up here 4 years ago and found out this weekend theres a dinner like the ones in ny.\r we were walking on court st and went into the argo to buy coffee during the st. patr parade\r \r they were packed from corner to corner but we stayed anywaythey sat us in less than 10\r i had a corned beef rueben , steve and marcy both had the philly cheese\r everything was great. weve made it our new hang out. wonder what the spinach pie is like? Ihave been to lots of great resraurants but Argo by far exceeded any previous dinning experience.The food was unforgettable the portions generous,the service impeccable.Our server was attentive and extremly helpful.It s the best thing that you will ever taste in New York.Please don t leave Argo without trying it -you ll later regret it!! more

While my wife and I were passing through the area we stopped here to eat lunch. Before leaving my wife went to the restroom, while in the women?s bathroom a male member of the cooking staff was in the stall next to her taking pictures of my wife peeing. I remeber the argo yeaarrrs ago ,but holy mother i wish it was this great then!!!! Beautifull renovation, it was so clean and bright. The portions were enormous and our waitress was so polite and proper. Im going again and again. I love the place. more
