My first visit was this past Saturday evening. My husband and I were initially going to The Water Club and cancelled our reservations because I did not feel like going to a "she-she, foo foo" place that night. I just wanted to relax and enjoy a nice place and this was perfect. It's not the most appealing look of restaurants but it sure is worth going to. The service is wonderful, I love the wait staff. They are so personable, yet professional and great at what they do. The food was very tasty, I had not one complaint and I usually have a complaint wherever I go. My husband enjoyed his food too, I was surprised because he can be so critical. It's off of 5th avenue, so it's quite easy to get to without being out ON the busy street, it's perfect. They should call this place "Silence of the Cows" - everyone orders at least one beef dish and decor consists of cow hides on the wall. This place is really great for steak lovers looking for something beyond the steakhouse. Good sign: the place was busy, but not too packed, when we went. The service was very good, but a little understaffed at times (one waiter servicing our full section). The food was very, very good. We ordered the Argentine Combo for appetizers, which was good (try a bit of everything), but smaller than what we were expecting. For entrees, we orders the mixed grill and 'great steak of the house,' which were both excellent. The juice to wine ratio of the sangria was a little too much juice for me, but still the sangria was probably among the best I've ever had. One thing though - we received another party's check, which was more than double ours. Good thing that sangria didn't have too much wine, or we could have accidentally paid for someone else's gigantic meal. Pros: Very friendly service, great steak and sangria. Cons: A little understaffed, a little cramped, but none of that would stop me from returning. more

The best steak in all NYC. I am not sure if it was the churrasco that I had but my oh my, it was well cooked (not burnt) tender, juicy and well seasoned. They grill the steaks in the front of the restaurant so you could see what you're getting. Went on a Sunday afternoon wasn't packed but nice ambiance and great service. Very attentive, they were playing some ballad which I found depressing and said if they could play a certain song, they didn't mind at all and changed it. I thought that was really nice of them. I definitely loved this place. more

My husband and I visit this restaurant every year around Christmas. The food is excellent and inexpensive considering the large portions you receive. The service is great without being overbearing however the restuarant's interior could be updated. Pros: Food, Service, Price Cons: Atmosphere more

My wife and I have been coming here for years. We usually come here before going to the theater. They serve a huge portion of skirt steak that is seasoned to perfection. We both like the skirt steak so much that we never ordered anything else! I would strongly recommend giving them a try. more
