Best place to have a b-day party! 11/5/2006

Every year, I always have my b-day party at a club or a lounge bar, I decided this year to make it different. After reading rave reviews for Arena Interactive Lounge, I decided to have my party here instead, and I'm glad I did. Because I had a lot of guests (between 80-100), I talked to Ron (manager/owner) and was able to set up a private party. Ron is one of the coolest managers around, he was able to accomodate our large group. I even brought my own music so the people could rock out while playing video games or just mingling. My guests kept telling me it was a great idea, people loved playing Guitar Hero 2 and Dance Dance Revolution. People were amazed that they had a great selection of games, including classic games like Super Mario Bros. This place normally closes at 12, but Ron let us stay until 1am...the people who work there are really nice and helpful, they even provided instructions on how to play some of the newer games and they set up any game that you want to play. Kudos to Ron and his crew, another very satisfied customer here. Keep up the good work. Pros: Classic and New video games, cool factor, great and accomodating staff Cons: NONE! more

Arena Rong Hooks It Up! 9/18/2006

The Arena Interactive Lounge is a fantastic place to spend an evening with friends. They have all the newest games on some of the best audio/video equipment you will ever see. Rong the proprietor knows how to make you feel welcomed. Its not your usual night spot. The one ups the competition in every aspect. Pros: Rong Personally Ensures Fun more

A Gamer's Nirvana 9/13/2006

I go to the Arena Interactive Lounge almost everyday to a talk radio show (All Games Interactive), and that's not the only reason I go. Arena is the coolest place to hang you. 50"" DLP HDTVs, 8 ft couches, with built in subwoofers, for that tingly feeling, and almost every game you can think of. The employees are very friendly, and are not afraid to help you. Pros: people, atmosphere, games Cons: parking more

For all gamer all over 7/16/2006

Best way to have a BIG GET-TOGETHER with your friends and meet new ones also. Pros: Everything Cons: Nothing to say more

Awesome place to be anytime! 7/15/2006

this place rocks! its hours of fun for just a few dollars, you could try all the latest game while enjoying the great custom surround sound! its in a great location, right next to the 405 and surrounded by good places to eat! its a cool way to spend the summer, hell its a great place to be anytime! Pros: great way to spend your time Cons: if you get hungry you have to leave, so eat before you go more

Awesome Atmosphere! Great Couches! Huge TV's 6/23/2006

Needed somewhere to chill, this is the place. Relaxing yet out of this world excitement. Pros: Nothing like it around! more

Best vidio game experience 6/23/2006

Ok. . . Arena gives you a completely different gamein' experience. you sit down and are completely surrounded by the game. For a good time bring everyone you know fill a few Screens set up a good old fasion Halo 1 game if your not into that anything is good. but there is no exitement that can match that of Arena's sub woofers in the couches and the huge screens. more

A place for everyone! 6/22/2006

I like gaming here because they have a large variety of games--which is important if you have a girlfriend who doesn't particularly enjoy 2 hours of intense SLAYER on HALO 3. Pros: You can link all the screen to each other for an intense game of HALO. Everyone gets their own m onitor Cons: No alchohol yet! BOOOOO! more

The most fun you can have sitting down 6/22/2006

Every time I go to LA I try to take some time to play at The Arena, because there is no place like it in the country. The decor rocks, the couches are comfortable and cool (speakers in the best places for optimal listening pleasure), the game and snack selections are awesome. The available space is huge - great for parties, and it is also one of the few places you can play console games with a ton of friends! Go and you won't regret it! Pros: Ambience, service, game selection Cons: No parking more

nothing like it!!! 6/20/2006

So i went to the Arena Lounge the other night and had a BLAST. I have always been a fan of video games. I went inside and the first thing I saw were these huge flat screen TV's and video game boxes everywhere. I asked the owner (who is super-cool) if I could play some Dance Dance Revolution. The sound coming out of these speakers he had were awsome! It felt like being in a dance club but without any drunk guys pawing all over you while you're trying to dance:) Pros: every game in the world!!! Cons: limited food (mainly candy) more

Very Accomodating 6/7/2006

We wanted the b-day party to start at 10:00pm, they agreed, and even let us stay till 1:00am (at no extra charge) because we got there a half hour late. They set up everything for us, plates, forks, cups, sodas, snacks, and an ice cream cake was all included in the price. We are all tired of the same old thing every party, bowling and pizza, movie and pizza, etc. etc. it is very refreshing to see people think out of the box and provide a fun place for an adult to throw a party, and still feel like an adult but have fun like a kid. Pros: Accomodating, Knowledgeable Staff, Fair Price Cons: Lackin food selection more

Awesome! 5/24/2006

I have been coming to Arena since it opened, and I love it. I've thrown two huge parties there, with food and booze, and they were both amazing successes. Neither party would have been so good if not for the great staff. I had people there of all ages and gaming experience, both guys and girls, and everyone had a good time. It's hard to say what's best about this place. I'm a fan of gaming, but not enough to buy a system, so this place is perfect for me. They have an awesome selection, and the price is dirt-cheap. I have no idea how they do it, I just want them to keep doing it. PS. The ladies LOVE ""Dance, Dance, Revolution"". I can bear witness. If you've never heard of it, you actually dance in order to play the game. Pros: Wide Selection, Inexpensive, Friendly Environment more

L.A.'s Best Kept Secret 5/22/2006

There's a certain outsider vibe that's associated with video games and PC cafe type places that the Arena has been able to avoid. It's open and has a very social aspect to it. It's no thing to find a big screen TV with Guitar Hero or DDR ready to go (if you don't know what those two games are just go there and I promise you won't be dissappointed). Even if I go alone people are willing to play a game multiplayer at all times. Only down shot is that they don't have any food or alchohol on location. They do have snacks and beverages and the owner is pretty cool about you bringing stuff in with you. I would recommend this place for anything, bring a date, wheter you're a hardcore gamer or have never picked up a controller you'll have a good time at the Arena Interactive Lounge. Pros: Fun!, Different Cons: No Food, No Alchohol more

Very, Very Cool Place 5/21/2006

I spent 3 hours gaming at this modern marvel last Saturday night and I had a great time. I was there for a friend's birthday party, and I look forward to going back. The place was comfortable and very accomodating. We were able to bring in our own food and beverages. Pros: BYOB - Alcohol, Open till Midnight, Good location more

User review by chinombre 5/21/2006

This place is highly recommended! A unique and affordable alternative to the LA bar/club scene. Comfy couches, big screen tvs, and just about any video game for any system. I had a party for about 15 people and it was great. The owner Ron is super-accomodating and even let us bring our own food/alcoholic beverages. Did I mention the Arena Lounge has a liquor license? Don't expect to pick up any chicks at this place, more of a guys night out atmosphere. Try Guitar Hero if you get a chance, I guarantee you'll be hooked! Pros: BYOB!, Huge game selection!, Unique atmosphere Cons: n/a, n/a, n/a more

Great Party Venue 1/28/2006

We were looking for something original to do for a party and we cam across thsi place almost by accident. It is a hidden gem of a place, they let you bring in your own food, drink and cake and they have a private floor to make sure no one bugs you during your party. The place is nice and clean, and they even arranged the food for us. Great place and no complaints. Pros: Great atmosphere, perfect for a party, great staff Cons: n/a, n/a, n/a more

Customer Service wasn't great 12/17/2005

I feel like someone should be real, this place is pretty cool, the design is awesome and so are the couches but the service sucked. My little brother is treated horribly every time, and this place isn't exactly a club as it's listed I think that is decieving. I know of another place in LA that has some better prices than this place. Not bad though, its a good time if you like mediocre customer service. Pros: couches, decoration, selection Cons: poor customer service, not that cheap, not a bar or a club! more

something different 12/7/2005

It's so cool to finally have something DIFFERENT to do in this city. You see places to lounge and play video games on COUCHES on tv shows but i haven't found anything like that til now. Arena's an awesome place to go to and finally hang with friends somewhere comfortable, fun and DIFFERENT for once. I also wish they had more of a food/drink selection, but seriously who cares if you can bring your own stuff including alcohol, it's all good!!! more
