Let me keep this short and sweet. This was my first time at Area. Day: Saturday ( Asian Night) Wait time: 1.5 hours!!!!!! ( I seriously wanted to leave after 1 hour, but I "thought" this club would be worth the wait, since all the hype and all) Doorman: Short asian guy...and I truly mean SHOOORT, like barely 5 ft? Although he was EXTREMELY UGLY (I'm asian too, so i can make fun of his looks and PLUS HE WAS RUDE!) he had one HELL OF AN EGO!!! Treated my friends and I like we were just not *COOL* enough for his taste. I have NEVER felt so disrespected in my LIFE! Dance Floor: TOO crowded, and not the "good" crowded kind. And other dancers were constantly bumping and pushing me! So yea, if you actually WANT to get your groove on, you pretty much HAVE to repeatedly bump your neighboring dancers. Drinks: Can you say....overpriced and NOTHING BUT ICE??!! Overall experience: HORRIBLE. Of all the clubs ive been to, this has to be the ABSOLUTE worst experience Ive ever had. PERIOD! Pros: Absolutly nothing Cons: The ARROGANT + 4'9 ft ASIAN DOORMAN, MUSIC, WAAAY TOO CROWDED, TOO MUCH SMOKE!!!! more
