I moved here from NYC and a good friend suggested I try the salon......she had been a customer for years, but recently left.......she felt they no longer appreciated their old customers but waited on new ones with the best of service and delivered good results. I was VERY disappointed. No one was at the front desk upon arrivial, I had to stand around and wait for about 10 minutes....then, the owner took me and told me my hair was in poor shape due to all the "Summer Sun"...(.I never sit in the sun without a hat.)....He insisted I purchase the extra conditioning treatment.."all the women in Wellesley do.....especially after"a long, hot summer in Nantucket! " I said no thanks and he was very unpleasant after that! He constantly took phone calls, chatted with everyone as they walked by and I felt totally neglected! He really needs to go to a REAL salon in NYC and learn how its done.....everyone is happy and smiling.....sorry, owner, but you run a SERVICE BUSINESS! You work for us and our time is valuable too........too much fake smoozing and insincere compliments. He forgets that Wellesley women are as smart as there husbands and we know the game better than he does. he needs to take Sales 101.........and throw in extra setvices for free to his long-term clients.....if he has any...everyone leaves and heads down the street eventually.........Helena is very talented......just not worth the aggravation of the owner......no need to go to Newbury Street, but no need to over pay and be treated poorly. STOP pushing the products and extra services....it makes you look desperate!
Pros: Location, Parking
Cons: Always pushing extra services and products
