Awesome Doctor 4/8/2011

I would highly recommend going to this Dr not only does he have a great bed side manner he takes the time to explain things to you. This office is a breathe of fresh air compared to the clinic settings today that treat you as a number not a person. I had an ingrown infected nail I am not a fan of needles. I never even felt the injection! This guy has the magic touch! more

Wonderful Doctor 4/6/2011

I saw Dr Arbes for my bunion that was so large two other doctors told me i would be in a special boot for 6 to 8 weeks. Dr. Arbes fixed it and I was in my own shoe in 2 weeks. My toe is straight and my big bump is gone. I took 2 pain pills and that was it. I recommend him and his staff. more

Sarcastic 10/13/2010

Have seen Dr. Arbes prior. Very different experience this time around. He and his staff acted as though I was overreacting to having my foot numbed. Personally, I don't enjoy needles in my feet, but when someone asks me if I'm doing OK when a needle is in my foot I will tell them ""not so great""! Upon leaving his office I turned around and noticed his nurse rolling her eyes at me. During the procedure, Dr. Arbes and I spoke briefly about our jobs. I explained that I work with clients covered by Medical Assistance. Dr. Arbes asked me ""Do you tell them to get a job?"" I can not recommend this podiatrist based on his and his staff's unprofessionalism. more

Best foot surgeon 1/19/2007

Dr. Arbes is by far the best trained and most experienced foot doctor in the area. He fixed my torn tendon in my ankle when no one else could even diagnose what was wrong with it. If he turned his back to draw up some injection it's because some people get scarred at the sight of a needle ( I read one of the other rate me posts). Duh!!!!! I wouldn't go to anyone else. Carol L Pros: very professional more

Doesn't listen, quick to prescribe 3/26/2006

I consulted Dr. Arbes for foot pain. He didn't take time to listen to me explain where the pain was! Nor did he look at my orthotics. He just took Xrays, said I had arthritis, and loaded up a hypodermic full of cortisone while he talked to me with his back turned. Since the idea of arthritis was new to me (I'm pretty young), I wanted a few seconds to consider and he got impatient. So I declined the shot and said I'd prefer trying physical therapy first. He agreed to refer me but said haughtily, ""the shot is simpler."" After PT evaluation, the therapist said the location and symptoms of pain weren't consistent with arthritis, and doubted that caused the pain. He did ultrasound on my foot, reducing pain by half immediately. I'm now doing exercises and recovering quickly. I'd rather learn to manage pain than get shots. more
