\r \r Jessica D. \r Los Angeles, CA \r 5.0 star rating \r \r 7/30/2013 \r \r We had our wedding here in May of 2013. We wanted a casual, non traditional wedding that wasn't going to require us to take out a loan. The barn was everything we needed it to be and more. I am originally from Chicago and my husband from Detroit but we both live in L.A. now. Michael was more than accommodating to us when we were in town and needed to meet with him to go over everything. He always took time out to sit down with us make sure we got our needs met. We had both our ceremony and reception here. We had some specific requests in terms of table placement and decorating things and Michael made sure he had it all taken care of. \r \r It is a barn and we let our guests know we were having a barn wedding. Telling them all to dress casual and not to wear heals. Everyone drank out of mason jars the whole night. We were very DIY, to save even more money, so all decorating was on us but Michael had some staff around while setting up to help put it all together. \r \r We did bring in our own DJ and our own cupcakes (instead of a cake) but the barn did the catering and the food was incredible! It was served buffet style and the DJ called out table numbers to get everyone up and to the food table. The wait staff and bartenders were great and always seemed to milling about in case we needed something. Michael was also there the night of and consistently checked in with me or my husband to make sure we were having a great time. \r \r We had an arrangement with a hotel nearby that ran a shuttle to and from the venue so parking wasn't really an issue for us. However, there were attendants there in case we did have people driving in. \r \r We have so many amazing pictures that we took around the grounds with family, friends and the bridal party. We jumped into the goat pen and took pictures with the goats, took pictures in the little outhouse, near the horses. \r \r This venue might not be for everyone but if you want a non stuffy, non traditional wedding this is a great place for it and you won't break your back trying to pay for it! I attended a wedding on Sept.7,2013 at the farm. It was so AWESOME! I have never seen a barn turned into such a cool place for a reception. The décor was perfect for a country theme wedding. The food was good home cooking, and the staff went out of the way to make a plate of food up for my husband who was at the hotel we were staying at. The covered wagon was awesome and the grounds were very pretty. The added bonus was a mini zoo with animals. I think it would be a great place to have a over night party and camp out there. It was a experience I will not forget. more

My wife was CRYING because 3 days before the wedding YOU BROKE a signed contract and she had to CANCLE SOME OF THE THINGS WE WANTED then YOU STLL CHARGED US $1,600 MORE THE NIGHT OF ! Seems Like a SCAM 3/25/2011

We had a signed contract but three days before are reception they said we owed another $2,600 for a MISTAKE THEY MADE so we had to cancel some of the options we wanted then the night of reception the still charged us $1,600 still to a MISTAKE THEY MADE the DJ IGNORED the play List my wife made so every half hour I had to tell him to play off the list she made. It nice to know they could CARE LESS about a signed contract NO BRIDE should have to go through this just a few days before her big day my wife is still upset seem like a scam to me more

It nice to know they could care less about a signed contract seem like a scam to me more

Great Concert Venue 12/21/2005

""The Barn"" at Arabian Knights is one of the best Concerts Venues in the Chicagoland area. It has a Multi- Media D.J. Stage, it's Sound System, Stage Lighting and with it's 20' movie screen, plus the three overhead views on screen of the stage. I really liked the camera over the drummer view during a concert. This is never shown at any of the other Concert Venues. Its just a ""GREAT"" place to go for a Concert. ""The Barn"" also has a Beer Garden open for all ages Shows now being over 21 I think that is ""COOL"". Pros: Beer Garden, Sound Stage, 20' Movie Screen Cons: bands until 12am, only pizzas served, no smoking more
