If you have ever been to this banquet hall, you know that it is nice. Be warned that behind the scenes the is a very different story. They have thier own bakery in which the rolls and pastries are made. After they have been served to the public, the bread baskets the public had they 're bare hands in are brought into the kitchen are recycled for breadcrumbs. Used roast beef is saved on trays right in view of the public. Let me remind you that it has been sitting out room temperature for twenty minutes. It is then brought into the hot kitchen, dumped into a bucket and left to sit there for an hour sometimes. The used meat's journey doesn't end here. It gets to go into all of the meat sauce that is served to custumers. The butter on tables gets melted down, recycled, and used again. If you have ever been sick after induging in Aqua Turf's fine food, now you know why.
So it is expensive to have a function here. With all the corners cut, where does your money go? Well the staff certainly do not see much of it. Nine dollars an hour is what the average waiter or waitress makes. The breaks are short and few and far between. An average break is less than ten minutes and they are paid breaks but if you work 16 hours, it is inhumaine if you only get three breaks in that time. On the contracts for weddings, proms, exc. there is a percentage of gratuity that is added to the bill. The waitstaff does not see a dime of that money. I honestly do not know where that money goes. Is that legal? If you get hired here, they do not provide uniforms. They cost about one hundred dollars. Not including nylons for women who must wear a skirt. You must pay for all of this out of pocket.
I just thought the public should be warned about this place that has been slipping through the cracks for so many years. The truth about Aqua Turf's fine food and staff is not so pretty but it is true.
Pros: The appearance will decieve anyone.
Cons: Unsanitary conditions behind the scenes
