I purchased a washer/dryer set in May. The salesman sold me a 4.5 cu ft front loading washer as I stressed that my old one broke and was too small for my family. When I looked on the internet to get an owner's manual as I didnt get one, I found that it was a 3.2 cu ft. and that it was refurbished. I called the business and they acted as shocked as I was. They exchanged the set 6 wks. later, after I called daily, for a broken set. The ""new"" 2nd washer flooded my basement and literally bounced across a 12ft floor and the dryer sparked and doesn't dry clothes. As of today, 7/16/10, I have made a dozen trips, at least 50 calls, and STILL no washer/dryer. I paid $1000 cash that I saved for a year for a pile of junk that I have never used. I inquired how they could sell the set for this price as I have been shopping for them and they stated that the markup is crazy on them and that other places simply ""screw you"" I am a mother of 4 children and the laundromat is costing me a small fortune. The people that work there states that they don't know why it doesn't work but that it is my fault and they are ""sorry"" but with burn marks on it they can't help me, even though the marks are due to their faulty appliances. My washer is with them but I have pics and recordings of how I was treated. I will welcome anyone to see my pics of the junk and the burn marks on both sets from bouncing together sparking, as well as receipts for the set and delivery fees. They had some guy deliver the set the 1st time for $60 but then quit before I got the 2nd set leaving me to pay someone else to return the 1st and pick up the 2nd set. The business has since had their phone # disconneted. If you buy from this so-called business, you're in trouble as I could have bought the identical set at Sears (a reputable co.) for the same original price and they would've delivered it and guaranteed it at no additional cost.
