I went to the Applebee's on Route 22, having had ok service there before, although it was never the best. However, last night was one of the worst dining experiences of my life. The hostess was nice, and seated us quickly. However, our waitress was very rude, it took her 10 minutes to finally come over and ask us for our order (after having several conversations with other guests) while ordering she got distracted and began waving to two guests who had just arrived so I had to repeat my order. Our drinks arrived (via another server) and we slowly sipped waiting for our food. My first indication that something was wrong was when the people who came in after our got their food. Then the people who came in 10 minutes after them got their food. The last straw was when the couple who came in maybe 25 minutes after us got their food. Our server, who never came to check on us after taking our order kept walking past us refusing to even look our way! Finally my boyfriend grabbed the attention of another server and asked to speak to a manager. The manager came over (with a very rehearsed apologetic speech) telling us that somehow during our 45 minute wait our food had been misplaced (how does that happen?) and they could ""whip up another one"" for us in 5 minutes. I angrily told him I didn't want the food and we asked for the check so we could pay for the drinks. Our server who couldn't bother to check on us to begin with brought us our check within SECONDS of the manager coming over. We paid and she told me ""I hope you enjoyed your drinks."" Do not eat here, the service is crappy, the manager's are crappy, and the drinks were crappy.
