Well, not sure what to say about it, its a chain restaurant, they do have a better selection than they used to on the menu. But they do have a happy hour, I think that is probably what saves them and brings us back for more. But, non-smokers beware, they do allow you to smoke cigars inside so it can get a bit smokey pretty fast. But they do have some great appetizers I can't get enough of. more

All the food is greasy, the service is bad, it is always loud, and no matter where you sit, the restaurant reeks of smoke. I have even ordered off of their weight watchers menu and felt like the food was greasy. The vegetables they serve are obviously frozen (and mostly still cold when they get to you) and coated in butter and pepper. With so many great places to eat in Charlottesville, don't waste your money at Applebee's! more
