Like a lot of chain restaurants, Applebee's has a kitschy decorating scheme, a trendy menu, an expensive bar, and disenfranchised servers. While it's good for an occasional meetup with friends or a happy hour drink and appetizer, I wouldn't actually wait in line to eat at Applebee's during the lunch or dinner rush.
The staff at this particular Applebee's seem to be particularly disheartened. Considering that this restaurant is in a nicer neighborhood and the clientele seems primarily upscale, this is a particularly obvious flaw. While this is a good restaurant for cheap family dining, it's not one of my favorites and I don't think I'll return very often.
