Applebee's Grill & Bar

3/16/12 We went to Applebee's, we go at least 3 times per month at various locations in the metro area. We were seated, given menues. Usually the waiter has taken our drink order next. Not this time. Waited and waited. There were at least 3 employees standing around talking w/ each other. Then someone was seated at the neighboring table and their waiter took their drink order. We had been there about 10 minutes before they were. So we got up to leave and were asked if there was a problem. We explained the situation and were told that table was assigned to a different waiter, then the hostest began speaking to us in spanish. We were just disappointed, other times have bee very satisfactory. more

I am giving this a poor rating due to the fact that when I went, they could not get my food correct for one and then still it came out cold. I had to send the food back several times and still the order was not right. First i wanted my steak well done it was bloody red on the inside I mean bloody red so i sent back. When it came out again the steak was burnt and still bloody red on the inside. So off it went back to the cook he sent it out again however this time the steak was fine but my sides were cold ice cold, so sent that back. When it came out again, the steak was cold but the sides were hot. Needless to say I was rather p.o.ed about the whole thing and told them to just keep the food and refund my money, that is when the manager came over and told me to tell her the whole situation and then she proceeded to tell me that she did not feel that the food warranted being sent back, I went to the register and told her to refund my money and I left. Not only do I not get any food that i can eat but i also have to get reprimanded by the mangers on my choice of eating habits. Who new that people would like the food hot and done go figure. Being one of the many local chains, Applbee's is a family oriented, bar style restraunt. The restraunt offers a variety of food that is changed out roughly every three months. While classics, such as the chicken tenders and mozzerella sticks stay on the menu, other more specialty items will leave the menu, and return if there is enough demand for the item. All in all it is a great restraunt and can be found almost anywhere in the KC metro. more

This is a great place to go for a nice family meal or a night out with some friends. They also serve lunch here. The servers are always professional and you are served with a smile everytime. If you need something for dinner fast just order something to go with the new car side to go they offer. Fast service and quality food at reasonable prices. more
