Apple Annie's is home to the most yummy Birthday cakes you can imagine. Although it may be a little more expensive than some bake shops my mom always told me that "you get what you pay for". She is sooooo right, If you want a cheap Okay tasting cake visit your local grocer's deli but if you want a melt in your mouth cake it's Apple Annie's all the way!! It may cost you $5 or $10 more but it's worth every dime! more

Wonderful Bakery - but pricey 3/29/2008

Love Apple Annies, but she needs to come down on those prices. The quality of her baked goods is of high standards, but if you want to keep customers she's going to need to drop the prices down a bit. Cookies just melt in your mouth. But her prices are much to be desired. more

This Bakery has awesome breads! 12/29/2005

This bakery is wonderful and the pastries are delicious! But everything in it is overpriced! We do go there but not as often as we would if the prices were better! I can recommend the cannoli's, the napoleans, several of the rich samplings and all the breads are wonderful! PROS: Delicious one of a kind baked goods CONS: Pricey! more

Oh this bakery is sooo good. I go in for one thing snad walk out with a lot more. You can get everything from croissants, to cookies, FRESH bread, cakes, you name it. Special orders are taken for that special occasion, it's so neat you can bring in a picture and have a cake made with that picture on Mazapan on the top, absolutley beautiful. Very nice staff and around this time of year near the holidays if you are short on time to bake they have the best holiday assortment and cookies packages around. And their lunch croissants are to die for. PROS: Everything is awesome CONS: NONE more

  • For more than six generations, the Longordo family-owned bakery, Apple Annie s Bake Shop has been making pasta, breads, cakes and cookies. It is known as one of the finest in the country and has been named the National Retail Bakery of the Year. All its baking is done on the premises in its own bake shop and its special desserts are hand-made and decorated. Cookies are made with pure sweet butter and hand-dipped in dark chocolate or plain butter. It bakes mini chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies, icebox and chewy chocolate rum balls rolled in pecans, macaroons and Florentines. Apple Annie s Bake Shop has two showrooms in Wilmington, N.C..
