I like this place a lot the food is consistently delish. They have a great variety of new dishes every time I've been so I never get bored, the service is VERY classy and attentive.The kind of place that will fulfil any request you have to change the meal to your liking. Great atmosphere too cozy, soft lighting and nice music. Always a nice time. I had the Fruiti De Mere last time and it was fantastico! more

Appetito at 761 Beacon Street in Newton Centre is the perfect neighborhood restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy and attractive, the service is attentive, and the menu is sufficiently varied to have something for everyone without being overwhelming. The style is contemporary Italian, so the menu is divided into antipasta, insalata (salads), primo (mostly pastas and risotto), and secondi (main courses). There is always a fish special and a pasta special. The salads are particularly noteworthy -- try to get one that is garnished with fried carrot curls -- yummy and different. There are two beef entrees, both juicy, the veal chop is big and tasty, and the braised lamb shank is meaty and meltingly You can sit at the bar and watch the game if you need to wait for a table. more

I highly recommend the seafood pasta (frutta di mare). Unlike so many other restaurants, they do not skimp on the seafood, which is fresh and plentiful. They are happy to subsitute sauces on this and their other dishes. The restaurant is small, but the service is friendly and the decore is comfortable. They get pretty busy, but you can usually get a seat without too much trouble. The dessert menu is very good, and in general the menu has a combination of traditional favorites along with some creative specials. It's a pretty quick walk from Newton Centre T, and street parking is not a problem. more
