I am posting this testimonial in an EFFORT to make those potential customers of Apex aware of how they operate and how deceiving they are..\r
\r
I had Apex and 2 other firms quote on treating my house and two other buildings on the same property. Apex was not necessarily the lowest. The thing that cause me to select Apex was their advertising that they had been in business since 1957. THIS I DO NOT KNOW HOW!\r
\r
WHAT THEY DID WRONG, The Technion barley scrap the ground around the buildings, I was told by the other companies that the trench should be a minimum of 4” wide and 4” deep, and flooded with the chemical the person treating the buildings said he used 50 gallons of chemicals, the general manger said they used 100 gallons.\r
The tranches were left uncovered the things that require moving in order to treat the buildings were pulled away from the buildings and allowed to simply fall to the ground. Nothing was put back in place.\r
\r
My biggest complain, They did not treated a wall inside the garage that should have been treated. Instead they wrote a note on a printed form call “official waiver of standards” that read, upon inspection no visible expansion joint was visible. The basement slab is believed to be poured as one slab without expansion joints, However Apex will provide complete service Warranty in garage if termites infiltration occurs. \r
After receiving what they call a termite bond It is nothing more than an agreement that states, I will pay them the sum of $980.00 at completion of the treatment and an annual fee of $125.00. and that they will do any retreating that is necessary.\r
I QUESTIONED them about the so call bond said nothing about their being responsible for structural damage that happened, that they did not catch.\r
The General manager THEN told me that they had two types of bond and that the structural coverage would cost me three to four times more than the service bond. This is the first time I heard this. CASE AND POINT, IF THEY HAD TOLD ME THIS WHEN THEY QUOTED I WOULD HAVE CHOSEN ONE OF THE OTHER COMPANY. \r
\r
The general manager and one of his supervisors came back out and looked at what had been done. He told me he would talk to the owner about these problems. This is being written 3 weeks later, and after writing this I called him and as always he was not available. He later returned my call to say he is talking with the owner and he would get back to me. I then told the general manager that I was not happy with HIM or their service, that I could not trust them and that I wanted a minimum of half my money back and I would release them from any liability. I am still waiting for their answer.\r
\r
Apex Customers If you think you have structural covers you need to get clarifications.\r
\r
You will also be able to read a more detailed description of all that was said and done on ANGIES LIST very soon.\r
