I lived in Dallas and ate my way though every Tex Mex restaurant I could find for a decade, you will not find better Mexican food anywhere around. Very informal atmosphere (I think it used to be a gas station, though they're building a new place next door). Mom's the cook, the kids are the wait staff, and Dad runs the operation. It is the best, freshest-tasting, home cooked food in town. Caution to neophytes - some of the menu selections are muy autentico! First timers should try the cheese enchiladas or the spinach quesadillas.
Pros: food, price, atmosphere
Cons: busy lunch hour
