On 6/18/11, My car died on the Freeway. I had my Mustang towed by Apache Sands in Mesa to their service center to find out problem. I needed alternator, battery and oil change. $721.53. I paid my bill and asked why they were $110 more expensive than the Ford dealer would have been and how do you keep return customers?. Randy in Service said ""Oh we do just fine"" Randy then went through line by line and Apache was more expensive on every item.
Alternator $408.09 Ford dealer: $380 installed
Oil Change: $40.69 Ford dealer $32 including disposal fees
Battery: $141.96 Ford dealer $108 installation WAVED
Analyze fee: $48.82 Ford dealer Waived.
My wife asked Randy to convey to the management that we were not pleased with their prices and he retorted"" Naw, I have been telling shops for 30 years they are too expensive It doesn't do any good. There is nothing they will do about the price"" We left the shop and when getting into the car we noticed 2, 3 inch long gouges in the left front bumper. We had just had the car painted the day before on the left side due to a fender bender and the gouges were not there before we had it towed. I went back in and had Randy look at it and explained the situation. He again said "" You didn't have that car repainted. We didn't do that. I can see rock chips all over the hood. (I did not have the hood repainted) Randy then told me he did not want to argue with me. They are not responsible. I told him that he was clearly already arguing with me and he said "" Yes, I am! and Now you can argue with my service Manager."" He then went inside and got the service mgr.. He looked at the car and agreed that it had just been painted but claimed no responsibility. I told him I will take this to a higher authority and left. I paid my bill. All I wanted was for Randy to tell the owner I did not appreciate their prices. He bordered on being OBSTINATE. Then when we noticed the gouges the first thing he did was call me a liar and tell me that I did not just have it painted and he denied responsibility. Their customer service is abhorrent.
