The family is from Marseilles, but that is in a region that is close to Italy and influenced by Italian cooking. Of course, having been in Nonantum since the 1950s, they have to carry Italian stuff (Antoine's brother runs the place now, and the next generation is working for the business, too). The do lots of specialty cakes for special occassions (birthday, communion, etc.) but they have a lot of Italian, French and just regular bakery items every day. They carry some pasta and assorted other ethnic goodies. The different cinammon things are my favorites. Can't say I've ever had the cannoli. They have the usual little cookie/biscotti things.
