My husband and I went to Bend for our anniversary. We are from Portland and are total foodies. We went to Anthony's because the restaurant had a nice presentation on the outside, was situated direction on the deschutes, and they served seafood. When we arrived, there was no one at the hostess table. No one appeared for 2-3 minutes and when she did, there was no eye contact or smile. She told us that it would be a minute even though we had reservations. While we waited about 10 minutes for our table, 4 other parties were seated. Finally we were taken to our table on the patio. Unfortunately there were no lights outside other the a couple flood lights on the top of the building. It made it challenging to read the menu. Our waiter finally came over, one again there wasn't any eye contact of smile offered and half of what he said was spoken while he was walking away from the table. It was beyond being rushed, it was indifference. At the end of the night (30 minutes later), after he forgot our chowder and brought it at the end of the meal, we weren't even offered dessert.
Pros: easy parking, nice view of the river
Cons: service, lack of patio lighting, inflated prices
