Every time I go to Anthony?s they treat their guests as if they are doing them a favor instead of the exact opposite like any other respectable business. Most of the staff is unfriendly. The staff clearly is uncoordinated and inefficient were they kept four staff members standing around the podium doing nothing at all. After sitting several minutes a waitress made her presence and did not read off any specials, but did take our drink order. She brought my guest a sweetened iced tea, instead of unsweetened. The waitress was simply asked to replace the iced tea and then a snotty ?sorry? came out which came complete with a negative facial expression. To make matters worse I could hear her in the kitchen complaining to other staff members about the situation!!! She took our order and usually (if you are lucky) with the dinner you are served with garlic knots before the meal, instead she served us overly toasted and mutilated garlic bread with sauce, while everyone else was served knots. She brought another batch of the terrible bread out while other guests received their knots and some a second helping. We asked the waitress if there was any reason why we did not receive any knots and she sharply responded ?we had some in the oven, but we are out now? and quickly walked away. Still after that second very simple question, everyone and their great grandmother were receiving garlic knots. It was now very apparent she had it in for us, because the service (didn?t think it could be possible, but it?s true) slowed even more from refills to getting the check. The slow service cannot be blamed on being busy as there were only four other tables with guests. Also, I was not shy or ashamed about not leaving a tip. If you are looking for great Italian food with excellent friendly service and staff who don?t treat their customers badly, then this Italian joint would not be my first choice. If visiting the area I recommend either Binghamton Grande Pizzeria resturant.
Pros: Nice Ambience
Cons: Uncaring Staff
