In Short
The largest island in the Great Salt Lake is also a park, accessible via a seven-mile paved causeway. The island is a popular spot for swimming, boating, picnicking and sunbathing. Also popular here are hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and camping. Perhaps the greatest asset of Antelope Island State Park is its wildlife. Birds make extensive use of the lake and surrounding wetlands, and a large herd of buffalo lives undisturbed on the island.
