Anne Sullivan Nursery School

It was bad enough when I had to go back to work because things had gotten a little tight and I had to place my son in daycare. On my way to pick up my son I had this image of him running to me and throwing his arms around me because he missed me so. The opposite was true. I walked in to his day care, Anne Sullivan School and waited for them to retrieve my son. I waited a little longer than I expected. When he saw me, he asked if I could ?come back later?, he was playing. I was both disappointed and thrilled. I had a lot of anxiety about leaving him in a strange place. Now I worry that I may no longer be the center of his world. It?s been two months and occasionally I get the hugs I was expecting. He loves the school, a beautiful country setting with lots of trees and an orange grove across the street. It?s a nice change from our little condo in Murrieta. If any of you moms, or dads, for that matter, is thinking about a preschool, I recommend you check out Anne Sullivan Nursery School and Kindergarten. My son is very happy there and I ?m thinking about their Kindergarten in September. more

The word that I would use to describe Anne Sullivan Nursery School is ""Charm"". It is unlike any school I visited in Murrieta, Wildomar or Elsinore. When you drive into the school's parking lot, you can sense you're in for a treat. There's a fragrance of orange blossoms from the grove across the street. The facility is an old house in new condition. I learned they just completed a $750,000 remodel where they added two additional classrooms. The play yard is like going to gram ma's with large trees and a beautiful play area. The ladies who operate the school are the sweetest little ladies you'll ever meet. I was able to observe a couple of classes. Teachers were animated and seemed to have no problem keeping the children engaged. Classes seemed a little smaller than some of the schools I visited, and I liked that a lot. My kindergartner and preschooler love it there and often hate to leave when I pick them up. That's very reassuring to me. I chatted with a couple of moms outside who were picking up there children. On said her son was almost too advanced for 1st grade when he started this year, having gone through their kindergarten program. Public school class sizes are twice the size of private kindergartens and he needed that extra attention. The mom with the three year old moved her daughter from another school in Murrieta when she learned about Anne Sullivan. The other school was a franchise, nice, but a little too institutional. After fighting the traffic from Orange County I look forward to seeing my happy kids. I just wish they were a little happier to see me. I wish I could spend my days with my kids because this is such a wonderful age and they won't be like this for ever. It is comforting to know they love their school.
