Annandale Family Medicine PC

Several years ago I was a patient at Annandale Family Medicine. The doctor who was treating me was fine but the persistently LONG wait times to actually be seen were ridiculous! Also, when the doctor who was treating me moved to a different practice I was NEVER INFORMED! When I showed up for my next appointment they said they'd have to "squeeze me in" with a different doctor since my doctor was gone. This just struck me as totally inconsiderate and so I left. I have not been seen by anyone in their office for FIVE years: This morning I got a call from them telling me it was time for me to come in and get a FLU shot! These people are MORONS! I would not trust them to provide competent care for a bag of marbles...let alone a fellow human being. DO NOT GO THERE FOR MEDICAL CARE! more

My family has gone to the Annandale Family Medicine group for about ten years. No medical office is perfect (hence the 4 stars, rather than 5, which says it means "perfect") but AFMed is the best primary care doctor's office I have gone to. The other reviewer seems to have gone at a difficult time for the office, back in 2003. I have explained (and accidentally duplicated) what happened then, and why I don't think it suggests there will be any problems in the future. We love Annandale Family Medicine. They see us promptly, they respond well, and they provide good service. more

I went to Annandale Family Medicine for a few years between 1998 and 2003, and was happy with their level of service. In 2003 I went in for a physical, just to make sure I was doing OK. They had expanded the office, and I felt more like a cow being passed through a maze with a cashier at the end than a patient being carefully looked after. About 3 weeks after my physical I received an envelope from Annandale Family Medicine. Inside was a crude photocopy of an article about high cholesterol and a prescription for Lipitor! No doctor called, no discussion about what options I had, not even a request to set up another appointment to discuss things. Both my wife and I were shocked and appauled. I called and asked for someone to call me back, but nobody ever did. I have refused to go back ever since. Maybe it was an off-chance mistake, but if those are the kinds of mistakes my medical professionals are going to make, I'm going to take my chances elsewhere. more
