I started off being a statistic. A 16 year drop out and pregnant. Of course, I learned very quickly that you could not live on love. I started working the night shift at Waffle House, took my GED, and enrolled in college. I knew I had to do something with my life. So I finally received my Associates in Paralegal from Midlands Technical College in Columbia SC. At that time I wanted to work in criminal law until I did. After a few years of working in a law firm that specialized in criminal law, I knew I wanted something else. I was still taking classes toward my bachelor's and took the LSAT's, I was preparing for law school. Then I gained employment in a real estate firm. I started at the bottom and worked up to closing loans. Then I fell in love with title searching. It was the one thing that I could generally start and finish in a day. I also realized I could be my own boss, so I dropped out of school, got my own errors and omissions insurance and that was in 1997. I have not regretted one day that decision, I love my job. That is what makes us work hard for you.
