I found Dr. Sayed to be particularly arrogant. He insisted that I was the patient and he was the doctor and took it quite personally that I knew as much or more about my various conditions. In the end, rather than trying to help me undertand the new thing that is happening to me physically I spent the entire time being regarded as either someone who was seeking drugs, or as is typical of the upper caste indians, being regarded as one of the casteless ones.
He knew that I don't have any medical insurance, all he did was make things worse. I will never go to Trinity hospital ever again. The University hospital in Iowa City encourages their patients to take an interest in their own bodies.
He automatically assumed I was an alcohol abuser even though Cystic Fibrosis has caused my pancreas to fail.
When you have had a mother that had Cystic Fibrosis and you know what you're up against, the arrogance of Dr. Sayed is not what you need.
