The worst management possible 7/2/2011

i can not imagine worst management or a worse place to work as a professional waitress. I do not work there and never would but the way this person treats her staff is beyond appalling. While I will say that from personal experiance that the food is average and acceptable for breakfast the staff that she employs is far better than than this restraunt deserves, I would advise people to search elseware for better food and a much better atmosphere. I am sure that this owner will delete this as soon as possible but at least for now it is up for all to see. more

Fantastic food 11/6/2009

Good: Great service, courteous servers and phone response , best of all the food! Big portions, fresh cooked, down-home good tasting food. The roast turkey dinner is awesome, as are the subs, Italian dishes, and just plain cheeseburgers.. Bad: nothing not to like here!. Improvements: Why improve on a good thing? OK -- maybe the cushions on the seats -- they're a bit worn.... Other: In three years of living in Nokomis, this restaurant has never disappointed me in any food that was ordered. We eat there twice a week, and guests we've taken there love it.. more

Home-cooked meals! 10/26/2007

Great breakfast menu served until 2pm and large selection for lunch and dinner. All of the home-cooked comforts you've come to love -- open-face turkey w/mashed potatoes and gravy, biscuits and gravy, plus hot and cold sandwiches, seafood and amazing desserts (the best pumpkin pie!), milkshakes and malts. Anita's is a '50s diner with a sense of humor and the down-to-earth, friendly staff and family-friendly atmosphere add up to a great time. Nice resturant 9/22/2005

Anita's used to be Mama Mia's. And everyone knew the former circus family that owned it. I understand Anita is Mama's daughter. The food is just as good, and very reasonably priced with early bird specials. It's a local favorite, and even though it's up on stilts, there is a ramp so it's handicap accessible. more
