Highlights and cut 1/16/2012

Everytime I come here to get highlights, the staff is phenomenol. They do such a wonderful job and you are so relaxed. I get so many compliments on my hair and I tell themm of the wonderful experience. I cant wait for my next appointment. more

Comfortable, relaxed atmosphere and great service 11/28/2011

the staff was very accomodating, Bea the esthetist was awesome and made provisions for me because of pregnancy. The staff happily made provisions for me to have lunch provided for me to be available between services and I was able to enjoy a full day away to myself. My pedicure technician was also very friendly and courteous as well. The best place I've been to for spa services since Europe ! more

I have been going to Bea for a couple of months for waxing, facials, and manicures. She is the best in her craft! Bea goes above and beyond to give total relaxation for the services she provides. more

I wanted to refer to the previous post about Melanie being a theif. this is absolutely not true. she has done my hair at the salon and suggested product.These were sample products not full size. Melanie is a great stylist and very honest. I would highly recommend her and Animare salon to anyone I meet. more

My daughter and I both were in need of a good haircut and highlights, but didn't know where to go. We searched the web and found Animare AVEDA. A great find for sure! We made appointments with Domonique (for me) and Emily for my daughter. I was nervous at first because of not knowing Domonique or what level of experience she had. Well, I was pleasantly surprised and VERY satisfied with not only my chic hairstyle, but also the highlights are fantastic! I HIGHLY recommend Domonique and Emily did a fine job with my daughters hair. more

Go to the Newport News location, NOT Hampton! 8/18/2011

I went in to the Hampton location for a haircut and eyebrow wax. I specified I wanted my hair a few inches below the shoulder; the stylist cut the WET/SHAMPOOED hair a few inches below!! Obviously she does not know that wet hair is longer than dry hair. And she cut to that length immediately, instead of being conservative and cutting a little at a time. My eyebrow wax was fine, but the employees at the Hampton location are generally fake, overly interested, overly complimentary, and seem to be incompetent. Go to the Newport News location. I went there for 3 years and never had a single problem. The Hampton location is closer to where I now live, so that is why I went (I had also gone last year and found the personnel to be disingenuous and unskilled.) Never going back! more

My daughter and I have been coming to Animare since it opened at PTC in Hampton. The store is very professional and everyone is very friendly. Our hairdresser, Jessica is fantastic, my daughter and her discuss her haircut and then Jessica helps her decide on what will be best for her age. I would recommend Animare. more

I have been an Aveda girl since 1990. I am so glad you have opened up here in Hampton. The products are the only ones to do my hair any justice. I have wandered to other products because of price and they do not compare. 21 years of using Aveda truly has been a blessing. more

Jessica does an awesome job! She takes extra care in shampoo and conditioning time to massage and relief tension. I also observed other stylists who have their own special technique to give customers the special TLC! You guys do an wonderful job! Sheree more
