Our cat has had nearly disastrous (and undiagnosable) skin problems off and on for years. We were recently referred to the Animal Skin & Allergy Clinic for a diagnosis and treatment. After several weeks of treatment (and a few hundred dollars) the immediate problem was cleared up. However, our cat ended up with a severe infection as an un-necessary side-effect of her treatment. Though (so far) our cat's problem is gone, we never really felt we received a great explanation of what her problem may be, what the best long-term approach for dealing with it is, and what her prognosis is. If you use this clinic, be persistent in asking questions and monitoring the care your pet is receiving. They probably do provide a reasonably good service but could definitely be improved by better communication with the client.
