Great experiance 11/18/2012

We took Abby, our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel to Animal Skin and Allergy Clinic because she had glue ear in both of her ears. The Vet was super nice and took care of her the same day. The thing i liked the most about the visit was that they took a video of the procedure they did on my Abby's ears and showed it to me. The video was grose but i left with a good understanding of what they did and confidence in their work. Thanks Dr. Duclos! ~Cynthia P. more

Dr. Duclos was the best! We spent almost 1,000.00 at various vets and Dr. Duclos was the only one to make the correct diagnosis with our yorkie. One of the vets even gave my dog a steroid shot which exaccerbated the condition. Whenever I have skin problems with my animals, I just go to Dr. Duclos and pass up the regular vets. more

Terrible experience. 9/21/2010

I would like to discourage everyone from having their animal tested/treated for allergies by Dr. Duclos. Our dog was traumatized by the skin test and then prescribed a serum which did not work..the allergist used steriods to control the itching for two years. We took our dog to a vet. who recommended blood testing. He stated how bad continual use of steriods is for animals, and had us discontinue all meds. We then started her on the serum made for her from the blood testing results. It has now been just over a month and we have already seen a dramatic difference. Dr. Declos stated that I wanted a "magic medication to fix the problem." He goes on to state "that vets who run this blood allergy test really do not know what they are doing regarding allergies. The serum tests are completely invalid," Ironically, I ran into someone who had had almost the exact same experience with Dr. Duclos...their dog is now itch free as well and doing great on the serum prescribed after the blood test performed by "a vet...a non-specialist." more

Dr. Duclos is the best 10/12/2009

Dr. Duclos is the a wonderful vet. He takes time to explain what is going on. He also helps us out with the medications we need by mail. He has really helped my poor cock and her skin problems. His staff is always nice on the phone. more

Not the most customer-friendly group around 3/2/2009

My dog had the worst itching and our normal vet couldn't tell us what the issue was. After seeing ASAC, they were able to develop a plan to treat his issue, so full marks for their initial care. On the flip-side, they make ordering any ongoing meds a pain (you can't leave a message requesting what you need and you can't call during lunch because they won't answer), and they're less than cordial when chatting on the phone. more

animal skin and allergy clinic Lynnwood 10/9/2007

Our lab mix was absolutely miserable, scratching and biting himself until he had infected lesions all over his body. He couldn't even go for a walk without stopping every few steps to scratch. Antibiotics and steroids from my local vet didn't do anything for him. I drove about 50 miles to this clinic and he was diagnosed very quickly with severe environmental allergies. He is now on atopica and allergy shots every 3 weeks and is doing great! more

You'll have to do some of the footwork... 8/18/2005

Our cat has had nearly disastrous (and undiagnosable) skin problems off and on for years. We were recently referred to the Animal Skin & Allergy Clinic for a diagnosis and treatment. After several weeks of treatment (and a few hundred dollars) the immediate problem was cleared up. However, our cat ended up with a severe infection as an un-necessary side-effect of her treatment. Though (so far) our cat's problem is gone, we never really felt we received a great explanation of what her problem may be, what the best long-term approach for dealing with it is, and what her prognosis is. If you use this clinic, be persistent in asking questions and monitoring the care your pet is receiving. They probably do provide a reasonably good service but could definitely be improved by better communication with the client. more
