Animal Hospital of Polaris staff tell boarding clients that their dogs will be walked outside for potty breaks six times per day between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. What they don't tell is that they are NOT zoned for outside boarding and cannot use their indoor/outdoor pens or the graveled exercise area since area residents decided to legally fight AHP over breaking the law. Only one dog at a time is permitted to be outside, on leash. Even though activity reports substantiate each dog going outside 6 times per day, do the math to discover the scam! I was told that 90 dogs were booked over a recent holiday. Let's say only 75 were there. If each of the 75 dogs got 6 five-minute potty walks, it would take 37.5 hours to exercise these dogs, one at a time. Problem is that there are not 37.5 hours between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.\r

Daycare dogs are not allowed outside at all. They do their business on the floor of the daycare room. \r

Hot oil treatments sell for $10.00 and they consist of a quick one pump spritz from a bottle of topical oils following the bath. The hydro massage is the machine being placed in the bath tub during the bath, with the water running and the drain open. It costs an additional $10.00. The toothbrushing is $10.00 also, but it may or may not be done.\r

A woman came in carrying her dog which had just been run over by a car. The dog was in shock and had sustained either a broken pelvis or broken legs, according to a vet tech. The dog was turned away without emergency care when the owner could not post a $300 deposit. This is not an illegal act, but I believe it is an immoral act from a clinic and vet who tout themselves as giving ""compassionate"" care. Even more so when you know that they even had a donation jar on the counter to collect funds for the care of animals whose owners couldn't afford the service!
Pros: adequate parking
Cons: you don't really know how your dog is being cared for
