I could not fit my reply under the comment section so I am posting my reply to Patrin11 here: I am very sorry to see this review, I don't know what gave this owner the impression that I didn't care because that is certainly not true. I always listen and take care of my patients to the best of my ability. I think that this owner mistook my trying to reassure her that a UTI in a puppy is not something to worry greatly about as it is easily treated. I also do not recommend lab tests unless I believe they are needed. Why spend the owners money unnecessarily? In this case a blood test was not needed and only done because the owner wanted me to. As far as a unnecessary vaccine - this is absolutely untrue. I try to spend alot of time explaining vaccinations to owners so they can make an informed decision. I would have hoped this owner would have voiced her concerns to me instead of writing an anonomous review online, and hope that if anyone reading this has concerns about visiting ACBR that they contact.me. Poor experiences 11/9/2011

I told the doctor that I do not need medicine since I work at a pharmacy but I was given the antibiotic anyway. I felt bad saying no, but was charged $34 for medicine that costs $3 plus flavor. Also, my cat hates their office so he does not behave well when there (only place he hates). He was not handled when he became irritable. This also meant the doctor did not examine him completely (no temperature, no flee check, etc). I was charged for everything anyway... I requested to see Dr. Alexandru and did not get to for two of my three visits (even though he was there). I will avoid going to the office again. more

A vet who cares 7/26/2011

Absolutely Fab. Dr. A not only did a great job on my little friends luxating patella, but he took as much time as needed to explain the procedure and answer questions on everything from pre-op tests and medications to diet and exercise. I have encountered is professional, knowledgeable and very kind to my little buddy. It is refreshing to find a Vet who cares more about your pet than his pocketbook more

Great bedside manner 7/26/2011

A friend of mine recommended Animal Clinic of Bay Ridge to me because I was unhappy with my old vet. The receptionists and nurses were all very polite and professional, and the doctor I saw (Dr. Mastrangello) was great. He spent plenty of time with me and had a great bedside manner with my dog. Her teeth were bad, so he scheduled her right in for a teeth cleaning the next day. I dropped her off at 7:30 before work and picked her up that evening. The doctor even called me himself to let me know she was doing just fine! The bill was less than I expected. I would definitely recommend this vet to anyone. more

Easily the best vet practice 7/25/2011

Easily the best veterinary practice I have been to. Excellent from top to bottom. Upon entering, the building had that ""just been cleaned"" smell. We were greeted right away and the tech saw us immediately, we didn't even have time to sit down. She was quick, asked lots of questions, fussed over our dog, and overall gave a great impression. Dr. Alexandru is a great big ball of energy and poured it all into our dog. When dealing with us, the doc cut out the baby talk and was informative, giving all kinds of useful information for people new to the area with a pet. more
